The Banshee system offers a robust solution for non-lethal access denial and threat deterrence. Designed for maximum safety and effectiveness, the Banshee uses multiple deterrence methods to address security challenges, making it an ideal choice for protecting critical infrastructure and high-security zones.

Key Features of the Banshee System

  • Acoustic Deterrence (LRAD): The Banshee emits a powerful 143 dB siren and can broadcast live or pre-recorded verbal commands, disorienting intruders and warning them of the threat.
  • Visual Disorientation: The system includes a powerful 12-million candlepower spotlight for both wide and narrow views. The strobe mode effectively disorients intruders at night, rendering them temporarily blind.
  • Laser Dazzler: A green laser dazzler incapacitates vision both day and night, preventing intruders from targeting weapons while keeping eye damage within safe limits

Detection and Surveillance Capabilities

The Banshee system boasts a 360-degree human detection range up to 500 meters and vehicle detection up to 1000 meters.1 Multiple Banshee units can be networked to cover large areas, offering comprehensive surveillance for operators to detect and respond to multiple threats simultaneously.

Rapid Threat Assessment

Equipped with long-range thermal and visual cameras, the Banshee allows operators to quickly assess targets. Within two seconds, the cameras can be precisely aimed at a detected target, even under low-light conditions, ensuring a swift evaluation of potential threats.

Highly Configurable for Enhanced Security

IEC’s modular architecture supports integration of third-party sensors, such as fence contact, ground vibration, or CBRNE. This layered approach allows the operator to quickly distinguish objects of interest from distractions such as wildlife or site personnel. Sites with existing C2 software will find that IEC’s IntrudIR Alert middleware can be integrated easily, providing security staff and managers a complete operating picture.

Banshee can be mounted on a permanent tower or building, on a collapsible trailer-mounted tower for rapid relocation, and even on a portable tripod for fast setup.
