Coastal Surveillance
The Littoral Sense
Facility protection and national security do not stop at the water’s edge. Sea ports, offshore rigs, and uninhabited coastlines are targets of opportunity for vandalism, terrorist attacks and criminal enterprise of all kinds. Radar can detect microwave reflections from ships, buoys and even birds. But radar by itself cannot reveal a vessel’s configuration or activities occurring on board.
Situational Awareness
Maintaining harbor safety and security is a 24×7 job. IEC’s enhanced, multispectral imaging provides an additional level of protection for vessels and port facilities. Long-range thermal and visual give operators a clear picture, which results in faster, more accurate interpretation and more appropriate responses to difficult situations.
Three Eyes are Better Than One
IEC unifies radar, thermal and visual sensors into a single long-range system for detecting intruders and distinguishing friend from foe. Modular by design, IEC systems can be tailored quickly to monitor the close confines of a harbor as well as activities far out to sea. Sensor wavelengths and ranges are configurable to handle fog, humidity, low ambient light, and other shore conditions.
